I've seen several suggestions online - none relate directly to Peppermint or specifically to the reports I got back as I am afraid I break something 'fixing' the wrong thing. Having done a bit of looking on line I have gotten as far as retrieving a 'systemd-analyze blame' link below. I have tried swapping back old Dual boot HDD and re-installing Windows from disk to compare and Vista will be up and running after 30 secs or so - i don't think its a BIOS or hardware issue. It takes 4 mins plus to start - about 2.30 to log-in page then another 1.30 or more to actually start.Īfter trying booting from usb, then dual booting I fitted a new SSD and did a solo install. I have an Acer Apire 5920 which works fine but I was fed up with the issues relating to updating as it's no longer supported native Vista. Having installed Peppermint 9 in an attempt to get away from Windows on an older laptop I'm now a bit out of depth with a slow start issue.
